The Only way is Marbella – Living the Lifestyle 300 days a year

An expats vision differs greatly than the average holiday maker when Marbella occupies our thoughts. Marbella, essentially offers an array of beauty, things to see and do; and a lifestyle like no other. Marbella and Puerto Banus provide a backdrop for the rich and famous and many celebrities in fact, call Marbella a second home. But, to some, Marbella seems like a city drowning in its own vanity – this is simply not true!

Believe it or not, no matter what pay grade you might be in, you too can get a taste of the good life in Marbella and Puerto Banus – one full day is all you really need. At Hansa, we´ve covered many aspects of Marbella including its diverse history, lifestyle and even some guides of what to see and do while you holiday on the Costa del Sol; however, many see Marbella as only a hot spot for celebrities and rock stars alike. There is so much more to Marbella and Puerto Banus besides celebrities and property opportunities – it´s incredible and diverse history speaks volumes, and its Andalusian culture still holds strong today in many of the surrounding villages situated on the Costa del Sol.

Why Marbella?

Why not Marbella? Currently, in 2014, Marbella seems to be trending, and getting lots of attention – and let us be clear, not because the TOWIES landed a few months back with a new idea of what a “mankini” should look like (although they did help a wee bit)! No, Marbella is getting noticed for all the right reasons; this includes strong economic growth, an increase in property investments and property purchases; along with a steady incline of job and business opportunities. Even the master of software Bill Gates is currently betting on Spain´s recovery, with an astounding 155 million dollar investment, and by the looks of things to come, Bill Gates just hit it big…again.

Bill Gates Invests in Spain

It´s not exactly a secret, and as most are well aware, Marbella took centre stage several years ago because of corruption scandals involving illegal builds, and property developments. A short drive up and down the coast still reveals the trouble we faced with empty lots and half built urbanisations. But today, and thanks to Marbella´s new mayor, trust is being re-established; excitement is once again flowing through the salty air, and more investors are taking a peek at property development portfolios.

Marbella and the Costa del Sol offer something truly unique besides a general holiday hot spot. It remains culturally diverse without losing any part of its glorious heritage or roots. Its historical significance still stands strong today, and will no doubt continue well into the future. Marbella and the Costa del Sol offer something truly unique besides a general holiday hot spot.
