Fun and Adventure for the Whole Family in Marbella

Welcome to Summer 2014 in Marbella Spain

Last week we posted a blog about all the interesting things to see and do during your stay in Marbella. Today’s posting is a lot more exciting, and features a new and improved Marbella for 2014. Besides the property market in Marbella heading for its best year yet; this summer in Malaga province, is expected to be one of the biggest yet in tourism. It seems Marbella is trending in more ways than one, and we at Hansa-Realty couldn’t be happier.

It was a tough go, and the last 8 years were indeed challenging. Spain’s economic woes and the property crash left most of us shaking our heads; however, the winds of change are finally blowing in Marbella’s direction. Essentially, Marbella alone is carrying the country to economic stability; more and more people are once again investing in Marbella, and not only its property. There is more value here than ever before, and besides Marbella being a fabulous place to invest, it will always remain one of the world’s top 10 destinations to visit.

So without further ado, we give you the best of the best, when it comes to family fun holidays here in Marbella. Consider this your essential guide to all that is great about our lovely city.

Family Fun in Marbella

It’s a simple phrase, yet parents across the world can unite in one undeniable fact – the feelings of utter frustration when the little one’s say (or scream out) the phrase – “I’m bored.”

Unfortunately for most of us parents, the location where this phrase is so merciless uttered makes no difference. We can be witnessing the first arrival of intelligent life on this planet, yet after the ship lands; children will once again tug on our shirts to whisper about their boredom. At least while in Marbella, we might be able to help, and keep the kids happy, excited and more importantly, you the parents, with a winning smirk on your face.

Adventure and Theme Parks

Let’s be honest – this is something you will enjoy as well. Everyone enjoys a theme park or exciting adventure. In Marbella, and the outlining areas of the Costa del Sol, there are plenty of adventures awaiting you.

Costa Water Park deserves first mention because it is still relatively new to the Costa del Sol. Be warned, it’s harder than it looks! You may face a challenge or two from the little ones when it comes to following the course set out at Costa Water Park. Our advice? Get in!

This floating water park will keep the kids entertained for hours, and for as little as €10! You can’t beat that price. Grab the kids and enjoy a variety of water slides, trampolines, jumping cushions, climbing walls and many other challenging attractions.

If a floating water park just isn’t your thing, you can give Mijas Aqua Park a go instead. The park is open from May to September. Here you will find adventure with a number of various water slides, rapids, a wave pool, Jacuzzi and kids’ pool; as well as mini golf, rock climbing and a games arcade.

Aqualand in Torremolinos – if you or the family is feeling a bit more adventurous, Aqualand in Torremolinos is the best place. At this water park you’ll find water adventure rides like The Black Hole, Boomerang, Kamikazee and rapids. There is also plenty to do for the little ones at the mini park. Young children will enjoy a surf beach with a wave machine and tropical lagoon. Available as well are plenty of green areas for a picnic.

Tivoli World in Benalmadena – With rides like the log flume, free fall and twister, you get the distinct feeling you are in for a hair rising experience. This theme park features 30 rides/attractions and plenty of restaurants’ and bars, perfectly designed to waste the day away having fun. For the adults or teenagers, one big recommendation is the Haunted House – not for the faint of heart! There is a very good reason why we say adults and teens; this is definitely not for the little ones. We’ll give you a hint, we wouldn’t want to spoil it for you – the haunted house features “live” attractions.

Marbella Nights and Dinner with the Family

Kid friendly restaurants
You won’t find a shortage of restaurants on the Costa del Sol, and most can be enjoyed by the whole family. Kids menus come in ample supply, and in most cases you just can’t beat the prices. But, there are a few notable restaurants worth mentioning; special venues that really show the kids a good time, while keeping Mom and Dad content with the service.

La Sala in Puerto Banus – Here you’ll find a kids menu for just €5.50, and they cater for lunch and dinner. The kids receive a main course, soft drink and ice cream. Every Sunday, the kids can expect some first class entertainment, whilst the parents enjoy a delicious and satisfying Sunday lunch.
